  • Biography
  • Irving Raphael is a graduate of Yale University School of Medicine. He then completed his orthopedic residency at the Upstate Medical Center, where he is now a clinical assistant professor of orthopedics.

    Since then, he has gone on to become the Director of Sports Medicine and Head Team Physician for Syracuse University. He is an Orthopedic Consultant to the NBA, NFL, PGA and the NCAA.

    In addition, he is the Team Physician for Cazenovia College and several local high schools. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine, the International Arthroscopy Association, and is board certified in orthopedic surgery. Dr. Raphael lectures frequently on issues related to sports medicine and student athletes. He primarily treats injuries to athletes, and specializes in arthroscopic and ligament reconstructive surgery of the shoulder, hip, knee, and ankle.
