SYRACUSE, N.Y.– St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center marked the official opening of the new St. Joseph’s Training Center, located at 500 N. Salina Street, on Friday, February 28, with a blessing and reception.
“As an organization, we are fully committed to investing in the future of our community and our employees,” said AnneMarie Czyz, MS, RN, vice president for clinical and educational services and chief nursing officer. “The new training center provides a foundation for growth through employee education and leadership development across the organization—now and in the future. “
The previous bank was renovated to create 19 state-of-the-art classrooms as St. Joseph’s prepares its current employees for the launch of a new system-wide EHR (electronic health record) on May 1. Staffed by 50 certified trainers, the center welcomed its first official class on Monday, March 3.
