It's been quite a year at St. Joseph's. We were awarded the Claire Boone Lewis Award by the American Hospital Association, completed a successful DNV survey and were awarded Magnet status by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
There were numerous recognitions and credentials achieved for our services.
We saw physicians move into leadership positions across the organization from service lines to quality to information technology.
Our employees lived our mission, vision and values in caring for more community members than ever before.
We faced the challenges of a changing health care environment that demands better quality at lower costs.
We continued our journey toward developing a system of care, connecting primary care, ambulatory care, acute care and post acute care. SJLinked and care management will become the backbone of this system.
So now we face 2014, with a clearer picture of what comes next:
*Clinically integrating with our medical staff as we develop our system
*Improving quality and reducing costs
*Offering patient focused care that engages our community in improving health
*Opening our new patient tower
We are ready for the journey ahead and on behalf of our sponsors, the Sisters of St. Francis, our Board of Trustees, all our leaders and myself, thank you for your contributions to 2013 and we look forward to continued success in 2014!
