"Family-centered care" is the focus of St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center's maternity services. Family unity is fostered by focusing on the physical, social and emotional needs of mothers, babies, children and families.

St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center is designated a “Baby-Friendly” hospital by the World Health Organization through its Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative. St. Joseph's is the only Central New York hospital to receive the designation and one of only 134 in the country. New York state has just three other hospitals with the distinction.
