Event Marks Culmination of 3rd Annual “Manuary” Fundraiser Challenge
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center’s men of cardiology are hosting a “Mustache Bash” on Thursday, January 30, at 7 p.m. at the Hall of Fame Barber Shop in Armory Square to celebrate the completion of their “Manuary” fundraiser challenge.
The team, comprised of five cardiologists and two members of the cardiac catheterization lab staff, challenged themselves not to shave or trim any facial hair every day during the month of January. Donors made pledges in support of the challenge. The fundraiser donations are being sent to Catholic Charities Men's Shelter in Syracuse. The team also accepted new socks, flannel shirts and toiletries.
Hall of Fame Barber Shop will simultaneously shave all the participants for free at their shop across the street from the Blue Tusk; refreshments will be served immediately following at the Blue Tusk.
Media contacts at the event is Tara Soehnel, RN, St. Joseph’s cath lab.
