Our Maternal Child Health Center (MCHC) operates as two private physician's offices: Maternal Child Health Center Pediatric Office and Maternal Child Health Center OB/GYN Office. We're open five days a week and see patients by appointment only. MCHC offers a full range of services for mothers and their children:
- Prenatal and postpartum care
- Fetal testing and sonograms
- Gynecology care
- Well woman visits
- Gynecological surgery
- Well child exams and care
- Sick child treatment
- WIC application assistance
- Social work counseling
- Health education
- Family education
- Nutrition counseling
- HIV testing and counseling
Mothers-to-be receive prenatal and postpartum care from a team of obstetricians, pediatricians, nurse practitioners, nurses, physician assistants, nutritionists and social work staff.
The Maternal Child Health Center accepts most private insurances, Blue Cross/Blue Shield and Medicaid. For information on the obstetric program, please call 315-703-5200. For information on the pediatric office, please call 315-703-5270.
In addition, our Family Medicine Center provides primary care, including obstetrics and gynecology, and pediatrics. Our Westside Family Health Center provides primary care, obstetrics and gynecology, and pediatrics.
Prenatal Care Assistance Program
St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center participates in the Prenatal Care Standards of Care and Prenatal Care Assistance Program (PCAP), a New York state program that provides comprehensive prenatal and newborn care to women who meet financial eligibility guidelines. PCAP may expand services to pregnant women not already covered under Medicaid. PCAP is available at the Maternal Child Health Center, Family Medicine Center and Westside Family Health Center.
St. Joseph's offers financial counseling to our patients, and we can assist you in applying for Medicaid.
Skilled nurses from St. Joseph's Hospital's Certified Home Health Care Agency and Franciscan Health Support Inc., provide at home evaluation and education for mothers after delivery. Call (315) 458-4600 for more information.
