Director of Clinical Affiliate Services

Purpose:
The Clinical Affiliate Director is responsible for the coordination and oversight of the Clinical Affiliate department and for the quality of services rendered by all affiliates.  The Director is responsible for the ongoing development, growth and oversight/authority of the Clinical Affiliate department.  The Director must be able to demonstrate effective interpersonal skills and an understanding of the interdependent roles of various specialties.  The Director is responsible for promoting high standards of practice through enforcement of policies, protocols and practice guidelines; participating in rigorous performance improvement monitoring; staff education and research.  In concert with the Vice President of Medical Affairs, the Director has authority to act on all performance improvement and administrative issues that occur within the department.

Qualifications:
Minimum of five years recent experience in a management role. Current NYS licensure. Membership and participation in professional organizations. Visionary with ability to develop the Clinical Affiliate Department. Works collaboratively with physicians, clinical practitioners, senior administration.

Clinical Affiliate Educator

  • Facilitate new employee orientation/training through clinical instruction, guidance, direct observation, and feedback
  • In conjunction with clinical coordinators, evaluate employee performance to determine strengths and address any areas of opportunity
  • Act as contact person for all students completing Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant clinical rotations within the hospital
  • Collaborate with clinical coordinators, VPMA, and other parties to schedule learning activities/ in-services to address areas of interest for all clinical affiliates
  • Organize annual competency/ in-services training
  • Bachelors degree in Nursing and completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program OR completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Must possess current NYS certification as an NP or PA
  • Prior Educator/Trainer experience
  • Experience with E-learning platforms a plus
  • Experience developing and implementing new programs and curricula

Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner – Non-operative Cardiac Surgery, Nights

  • 12 hour shifts, totaling 80 hours per pay period
  • Cohesive and Collegial Work Relationships
  • Utilized electronic medical records for documentation
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program, or Physician Assistant program
  • Previous Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant experience desirable
  • Must possess NYS licensure and certification as a NP or PA
  • Peri-operative care in the ICU as well as the step-down unit

Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner - Hospitalist, Nights

  • 12 hour shifts, totaling 80 hours per pay period
  • Rounding on floor patients
  • Admissions from ED as needed
  • Cohesive and Collegial Work Relationships
  • Utilized electronic medical records for documentation
  • Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program, or Physician Assistant program.
  • Previous Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant experience desirable
  • Must possess NYS licensure and certification as a NP or PA
  • Salary range: Commensurate with experience

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner- Inpatient Consultation Service

  • Part of a multidisciplinary team providing care to patients on a 30 bed inpatient psych unit
  • Consultation service coverage to Medical/Surgical, Maternal Child and Critical Care units
  • Provides direct patient care, participate in daily rounding
  • Assist with the development of multidisciplinary treatment plans
  • Use of electronic medical records, specifically Avatar system
  • Required Education: Successful completion of an NCCPA Accredited PA Program
  • Required License, Certification and/or Registration: NCCPA Certification, NYS License
  • Master’s of Nursing or Equivalent
  • Nurse Practitioner License
  • Registered NYS Nurse License is required
  • CPR and ACLS certification
  • Salary range: Commensurate with experience
  • Use of electronic medical records, specifically Avatar system

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner - CPEP

  • Provide evaluation and treatment for individuals of all ages who are suffering from an acute mental health crisis
  • Admit patients and write orders as needed
  • Assist with increasing the efficiency of initial evaluation period
  • Use of electronic medical records, including dictation
  • Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner License
  • CPR and ACLS certification
  • Salary range: Commensurate with experience

Nurse Practitioner - Primary Care, Fulltime 

  • Providing the family practice component of the treatment
  • You will be under the direction of the Family Practice attending physician
  • Use of electronic medical records
  • Prior FNP experience required
  • Family Nurse Practitioner License
  • Registered NYS Nurse License is required
  • CPR and ACLS certification
  • Salary range: Commensurate with experience
  • Schedule will include evening and weekend hours

Nurse Practitioner - Primary Care, Part Time 

  • Providing the family practice component of the treatment
  • You will be under the direction of the Family Practice attending physician
  • Use of electronic medical records
  • Prior FNP experience required
  • Family Nurse Practitioner License
  • Registered NYS Nurse License is required
  • CPR and ACLS certification
  • Salary range: Commensurate with experience
  • This is a part time position. Schedule will include evening and weekend hours
