Medical Provider Performance Improvement Project
Through a joint venture with the University of Buffalo, the Tobacco Cessation Center at St. Joseph's offers a Performance Improvement Project for physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners. Eligible providers can earn 21 AMA category 1 CME credits through participation in the project.
What does the project include?
The Cessation Center staff will provide you with a half-hour training based on the Public Health Service Clinical Practice Guideline for Treating Tobacco Use and Dependence and will provide you with many resources you can use to help your patients stop smoking. Participation is free for qualified providers.
Who is eligible?
Medical providers who work in a medical office setting and practice in New York State are eligible for the free Performance Improvement Project.
