Central New Yorkers are Not Getting Enough Sleep
According to the report by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, healthy sleep is defined as at least seven hours per day for adults aged 18-60. Locally, many adults are averaging far less – about five to six hours of sleep per night.
Sleep Awareness Week is March 2-9, 2016. Neil Widrick, RRT, RPSGT, RPFT, Manager, St. Joseph’s Sleep Laboratories is available to discuss why sleep is crucial to a person’s health and wellbeing, how health is impacted with the required hours of sleep are not achieved, and other health and lifestyle risks from lack of sleep.
As the #1 cardiovascular hospital in the region, you’re probably not surprised to hear that St. Joseph’s has a lot happening in February.
