Christina WrightSyracuse, NY (December 10, 2018) – St. Joseph's Health welcomes Christina Wright, FNP, RN, to the St. Joseph’s Health Cardiovascular Institute where she will diagnose and treat adult patients with chronic cardiac conditions or who are recovering from acute cardiac events.




Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner with the St. Joseph’s Health Cardiovascular Institute, she served as a registered nurse in the cardiovascular surgery unit of St. Joseph’s Health Hospital.




She holds a registered nurse license in New York. Wright is also certified by the American Heart Association in basic life support and CPR, advanced cardiovascular life support, and pediatric advanced life support. She also holds the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale Certification.




Wright earned her Family Nurse Practitioner certification, master’s degree in nursing and bachelor’s degree in applied science from Le Moyne College in Syracuse, and her associate degree in applied science from St. Joseph’s College of Nursing.




Through her Family Nurse Practitioner program, she traveled on healthcare missions to Belize and Ghana, Africa, where she worked with physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants to provide primary care to individuals and families in remote villages.




Wright received the American Nurses Association Future Nurse Leader Award in 2016. She is a member of the Nurse Practitioner Association and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.




Wright will see patients at St. Joseph’s Health Cardiovascular Institute in Syracuse.
