St. Joseph’s Health Auxiliary staff and community volunteers are making sure local children are prepared for a successful school year. They recently gathered to pack backpacks for students who may otherwise not have access to school supplies. The bags contain the essentials: paper, notebooks, pens, pencils, crayons, rulers, and glue. St. Joseph's Health Auxiliary has organized this event for 17 years. The backpacks will be distributed to the hospital-based clinics that see children for dental cleanings and physicals. This year we hit a record number of backpacks stuffed at 840! Excellent work to the St. Joseph's staff and volunteers.
