Family Nurse Practitioner Kathleen Mcdonnell Joins St. Joseph's Physicians Internal Medicine

SYRACUSE – St. Joseph’s Health welcomes Kathleen “Katie” McDonnell, RN, MSN, FNP-C, to St. Joseph’s Physicians Internal Medicine in Syracuse, New York. In her role as a Family Nurse Practitioner, McDonnell will join a diverse team of highly qualified internal medicine practitioners providing comprehensive health care to the community. She is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

McDonnell earned her Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York, and is currently pursuing a Master of Public Health degree at SUNY University at Albany in Albany, New York. Most recently she was employed as a family nurse practitioner at Compassionate Family Medicine in Syracuse, New York, where she provided direct patient care including both urgent and chronic medical condition management.

Her certifications include Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). McDonnell is a member of the New York State Nurse Practitioner Association, and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
