Sr. Dolores Bush and Sr. James Peter Ridgeo, both Sisters of St. Francis, have received widespread and well-deserved community recognition for their commitment to the residents of Syracuse’s Northside through the incredible services provided by Franciscan Northside Ministries and the Poverello Health Center – which offers free medical care to people in CNY without medical insurance. These services could not be provided, especially in times of high demand, without the generous support of the volunteer providers who staff the clinic.

And in addition to his service on the hospital board, George Deptula has also served on several other boards and committees for St. Joseph’s entities, giving thoughtful contemplation for many of the organizational decisions and investments that positioned St. Joseph’s for a successful future in this rapidly changing healthcare environment – all while maintaining his exemplary professional career in law.

“Today’s awardees were chosen because each has made incredible contributions to our community and the St. Joseph’s system in the likeness of St. Joseph’s the Worker,” said Kathryn Ruscitto, President & CEO for St. Joseph’s Health. “These award recipients have made a significant impact upon St. Joseph’s through their accomplishments, while modeling character that is mission-centered and embodies servant leadership.”
