St. Joseph's Health Hires Sean Mcandrew as Director of Health Information Management

Syracuse, NY (February 17, 2017) – St. Joseph’s Senior Vice President of Financial Services and Chief Financial Officer Meredith Price has announced that Sean McAndrew, MHA, RHIA, has been hired as Director of Health Information Management for St. Joseph’s Health.

With nearly 20 years of experience, Sean has a comprehensive understanding of system-side health information management, clinical documentation improvement, information systems, corporate compliance, medical informatics, and telecommunications. In his new role, Sean is responsible for affecting the ongoing quality and efficiency for all processes of the department to provide the systems for acquiring, analyzing, coding, storing and retrieving information so that it can be appropriately used for patient management, billing and readily available when needed.

An accomplished leader, Sean joins St. Joseph’s Health from Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton, PA, where he served as associate vice president for information technology/director, HIM Services. Sean attended York College of Pennsylvania and received his Master’s in Health Administration from the University of Scranton.
