SYRACUSE, N.Y.— St. Joseph’s Health is pleased to welcome Roshan Ghimire, MD, to St. Joseph’s Physicians Primary Care. In this role, Dr. Ghimire will provide patients – of all ages – with personalized health care aimed at treating the whole person.

Preventative care is a key focus of St. Joseph’s Health Primary Care, with an emphasis on regular well visits and physicals, immunizations, pediatric care, and basic women’s healthcare. Dr. Ghimire is very experienced in obstetrics, as well as family medicine. His practice will also manage chronic illnesses, treat acute injuries and illnesses, and coordinate complex care with specialists.

“I am very excited to start this new chapter in my career, providing comprehensive care to patients of all ages, including pregnancy care,” said Dr. Ghimire. “I am also excited to be a part of St. Joseph’s Family Medicine residency program, helping train the next generation of primary care physicians.”

Prior to joining St. Joseph’s Health, Dr. Ghimire worked as a hospitalist and family medicine physician with obstetrics at facilities in Minnesota and North Dakota. In addition to seeing patients at St. Joseph’s Health, Dr. Ghimire is a faculty physician for the St. Joseph’s Family Medicine Residency Program.

Dr. Ghimire earned his medical degree at the Institute of Medicine at Tribhuvan University in Nepal. He completed his residency and a fellowship in Obstetrics at Altru Family Medicine in Grand Forks, ND.
