SYRACUSE, N.Y.— St. Joseph's Health is pleased to announce that Tazheh Kavoosi, MD, has joined its ENT practices as an otolaryngologist. Dr. Kavoosi will provide care at both St. Joseph's Physicians ENT locations: Northeast Medical Center in Fayetteville and the newly established practice at North Medical Center in Liverpool, helping expand access to ear, nose and throat care throughout Central New York.

Her residency training in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery was completed at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse.
“I am passionate about addressing/mitigating healthcare disparities and expanding access to care for underserved populations,” said Dr. Kavoosi. “Having done my residency in Syracuse, I have seen the significant need for ENT providers within this community. I am looking forward to expanding access to equitable and comprehensive care alongside a team who shares this mission.”

Dr. Kavoosi has held several research assistantships studying chronic rhinosinusitis, cleft lip and palate repair, memory during sleep, laser ablation outcomes in medically intractable pediatric epilepsy, among many other topics. Some of her many abstracts, presentations, and manuscripts tackled everything from multidisciplinary approaches to substance use disorder treatment and prevention of medical student burnout to speech outcomes of cochlear implants and telemedicine in the Middle East.
Dr. Kavoosi is married with a young son. She enjoys dancing, golfing, hiking, and gardening.
Dr. Kavoosi is seeing patients at both ENT locations, Northeast Medical Center at 4000 Medical Center Drive, Suite 502, Fayetteville, NY, and the newest office at North Medical Center in Liverpool.
