Sports Medicine
At St. Joseph’s Health, our specialists offer advanced orthopedic and musculoskeletal care tailored to athletes of all ages and ability levels from youth and weekend warriors to high school, collegiate, and professional competitors. Whether you’re returning from an injury or aiming to prevent one, our mission is to get you back in the game safely, effectively, and with confidence.
What We Do
Injury Diagnosis & Management — From sprains and strains to more complex ligament, tendon, cartilage, and joint injuries, our team has the expertise and technology to assess and treat a full spectrum of sports-related issues.
Surgical & Non-Surgical Treatment — When noninvasive measures (physical therapy, medication, rehabilitative care) are sufficient, or when surgical intervention is required, we develop individualized care plans. Our services may include minimally invasive joint procedures, arthroscopy, or reconstructive surgery, depending on your condition.
Rehabilitation & Physical Therapy — A coordinated rehabilitation plan is central to our approach. We work closely with physical therapists, athletic trainers, and other rehab professionals to restore strength, mobility, and function.
Injury Prevention & Performance Support — Beyond treating injuries, we partner with athletes and active individuals to reduce the risk of future injuries. That includes guidance on proper training progression, conditioning programs, and best-practice techniques to keep you performing at your best.
Team & Sideline Coverage — For organized sports teams, we offer medical support, including preseason physicals, sideline medical staff, training room coverage, and on-site athletic training services.
